A Small Personality Test

My dear friends,

For this lovely Monday day, Jenni made us do this test based on Carl Jung’s and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typological approach to personality :) You can find it HERE if you wanna join us ;)

Or you can just sit down and relax while I tell you what the test tells about me ;) Here is my type:

ENFJs are the benevolent pedagogues of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But its usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.
ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability.
ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they dont resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.
ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.

TRADEMARK: "The first shall be last"

This refers to the open-door policy of ENFJs. One ENFJ colleague always welcomes me into his office regardless of his own circumstances. If another person comes to the door, he allows them to interrupt our conversation with their need. While discussing that need, the phone rings and he stops to answer it. Others drop in with a quick question. I finally get up, go to my office and use the call waiting feature on the telephone. When he hangs up, I have his undivided attention!

Extraverted Feeling

Extraverted Feeling rules the ENFJs psyche. In the sway of this rational function, these folks are predisposed to closure in matters pertaining to people, and especially on behalf of their beloved. As extraverts, their contacts are wide ranging. Face-to-face relationships are intense, personable and warm, though they may be so infrequently achieved that intimate friendships are rare.

Introverted iNtuition

Like their INFJ cousins, ENFJs are blessed through introverted intuition with clarity of perception in the inner, unconscious world. Dominant Feeling prefers to find the silver lining in even the most beggarly perceptions of those in their expanding circle of friends and, of course, in themselves. In less balanced individuals, such mitigation of the unseemly eventually undermines the ENFJs integrity and frequently their good name. In healthier individuals, deft use of this awareness of the inner needs and desires of others enables this astute type to win friends, influence people, and avoid compromising entanglements. The dynamic nature of their intuition moves ENFJs from one project to another with the assurance that the next one will be perfect, or much more nearly so than the last. ENFJs are continually looking for newer and better solutions to benefit their extensive family, staff, or organization.

Extraverted Sensing

Sensing is extraverted. ENFJs can manage details, particularly those necessary to implement the prevailing vision. These data have, however, a magical flexible quality. Something to be bought can be had for a song; the same something is invaluable when its time to sell. (We are not certain, but we suspect that such is the influence of the primary function.) This wavering of sensory perception is made possible by the weaker and less mature status with which the tertiary is endowed.

Introverted Thinking

Introverted Thinking is least apparent and most enigmatic in this type. In fact, it often appears only when summoned by Feeling. At times only in jest, but in earnest if need be, Thinking entertains as logical only those conclusions which support Feelings values. Other scenarios can be shown invalid or at best significantly inferior. Such "Thinking in the service of Feeling" has the appearance of logic, but somehow it never quite adds up. Introverted Thinking is frequently the focus of the spiritual quest of ENFJs. Davids lengthiest psalm, 119, pays it homage. "Law," "precept," "commandment," "statute:" these essences of inner thinking are the mysteries of Deity for which this great Feelers soul searched.

Mercedes is known throughout the world as a symbol of wealth and class. Mercedes Benz cars are well known for its quality and durability. Did you know that all Mercedes cars are personally signed off to maintain its quality by top engineers in the automotive industry? The history of Mercedes Benz goes back almost 150 years ago back to when Gottlieb Daimler got together with Karl Benz to form this brand that we all know today.More than a hundred years ago, the birth of two men set the history of Mercedes Benz. Gottlieb Daimler was born in Germany. A decade later, Karl Benz was born also in Germany. Interesting enough, there were 60 miles apart but they both shared a common interest. At a very young age, both were already exposed to machines but both had different approaches to building cars which no one believed at that time they will merge.In the year 1886, Karl Benz made his first motorized tricycle which was soon followed by a four-wheeler in 1893. Daimler on the other hand built a horseless carriage in 1886 and two years later struck a deal with William Steinway to produce his horseless carriages in the United States. Steinway produced Mercedes cars and trucks for 3 years. This was a stepping stone for the history of Mercedes Benz.The war in Germany, played a very important role to the birth of this prestigious car. With a downfall in economy, there were little or no fuel for cars and a high tax of 15% made automobile production disastrous and because of this, Benz sought for a strong partner considering DMG but was rejected initially. Then, the economy became worse and there were very few cars in the United States with only a third of cars produced by each Benz, Ford and DMG. Due to necessity, Benz and DMG signed an agreement of mutual interest while maintaining the individual identities.The greatest achievement in the history of Mercedes is when both DMG and Benz merged. There was an insignia made for the merger of both companies. The insignia was a three pointed star with a laurel around it with the words Mercedes on the top and Benz at the bottom. The merge was very successful and production their cars rose to about 7000 automobiles in 1927. The two companies which were merged to form the Mercedes-Benz brand in 1926 had both already enjoyed success in the new sport of motor racing throughout their separate historiesâ€”both had entries in the very first automobile race Paris to Rouen 1894. This has continued, and throughout its long history, the company has been involved in a range of motorsport activities, including sports car racing and rallying. On several occasions Mercedes-Benz has withdrawn completely from motorsport for a significant period, notably in the late 1930s, and after the 1955 Le Mans disaster, where a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR collided with another car and killed more than 80 spectators. The 1990s saw Mercedes-Benz purchase British engine builder Ilmor (now Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines), and campaign IndyCars under the USAC/CART rules, eventually winning the 1994 Indianapolis 500 and 1994 CART IndyCar World Series Championship with Al Unser, Jr. at the wheel. The 1990s also saw the return of Mercedes-Benz to GT racing, and the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, both of which took the company to new heights by dominating the FIAs GT1 class.

Mercedes-Benz is currently active in three forms of motorsport, Formula Three, DTM and Formula One.

A Little Bit Of Paint

Dear friends,

I am going to share with you today a bit of StreetArt - I have not done this in quite a while, right?! In the first weekend of this lovely November month I managed to get these pictures below presented. Truly I love searching for new corners of art that involves paint, scattered around the town, and I really hope you will like this post as much as I did taking these pictures (at least ;p).

Sprzataj po swoim psie = Clean after your dog - Krakow is a dog friendly city and it has parks especially for dogs but also it has strict rules about dogs behaviour inside the city (that includes owners carrying poop-bags for the doggies and cleaning after them - which is an awesome thing as I never stepped in a poop here ;) 10 point to Krakow for that! as unfortunately in Romania we do not have this law).

And lets be frank, who doesnt love Krakow?! If people come here they will fall in love with the city and will wish to come back to see more and more of it - almost like a drug... Please, can I have some Krakow on a daily basis?!

Here you can see St. George fighting the dragon - or at least that is my idea :) it could also be Prince Filip on its way to save Aurora from her sleep. Bad Maleficent! Bad! She was quite a spiteful character, was she not?!

And I also really like this cute and cozy shop with 1000 miracles inside - small little things to brighten up your day and your house... but sincerly speaking recently (actually in the last year or so) I became less interested in things that are beautiful yet not practical... I do not want to fill my house with things that look pretty yet have no sense to have around... But I love looking at them and imagining houses with them in them....

Plus the angels in the enterance are just adorable :) I wanted to take a picture for a while now and each time I was passing by I hoped they would not change a thing - eventually the first weekend of November it was point and shoot time and I am now able to show you the angels who guard the door to the adorable shop :)

Insanity Is Just A State Of Mind

** Pay attention, this post is long and has SPOILERS! but I have poured my heart and soul into it so I hope you guys will read it and tell me what you think! :) **

Somewhere in the 70s - 80s in the USA they started airing for the first time a series called M.A.S.H. - short from Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. The 4077th M.A.S.H. gets stuck in the middle of the Korean war. In order to make wartime and living without their family/loved ones bearable they resort to practical jokes and revenge - both doctors, nurses, administrators and soldiers alike.

The stories are loosely based on the real and historic 8055th M.A.S.H. unit, as well as the actual experiences told by real M.A.S.H. surgeons to the production company who interviewed them. As the series went on, the producers began interviewing actual M.A.S.H. veterans for their stories and impressions; many of their recollections went into storylines. The gradual thinning of fresh ideas prompted work on the series conclusion.

The main character of the show is, without a doubt, Captain Benjamin Franklin Pierce - played lovingly by the talented Alan Alda. I quite remember having a crush on him when I was small. He was funny and witty and pretty altogether. Tell you the truth I almost had a shock when I saw him so aged in the TV series The Black List. But hey! time does not treat us kindly... Anyway, back to Captain Pierce - or as friends call him: Hawkeye. His nickname was bestowed on him by his father, from the novel “The Last of the Mohican’s”, and according to Hawkeye is the only book his father ever read. His father is Dr. Daniel Pierce and has a practice in their hometown of Crabapple Cove, Maine. Hawkeye talks frequently and at length about the place he grew up throughout the show, and always with a dreamy sort of smile to his face. It is established in the very beginning of the show that Hawkeye is Chief Surgeon.

The reason for this being that he is without a doubt the best of all the doctors there, including anyone who is ranked above him or has more experience. In his off time, drinking to excess and spending time with women are his two favorite things to do. Followed closely by pulling pranks on both the people he likes as well as the people he dislikes. Despite caring greatly about the soldiers that he is there to take care of, his disdain for the army is clear. He doesn’t like any of the things that get in the way of his doing his job, and all of the army red tape, rules and regulations are certainly included. He has no respect for the army, or Regular Army Types and generally refers to them as “Regular Army clowns”, with only a very few exceptions. The irony of feeling this way is that sometimes it becomes necessary for him to take temporary command on those rare occasions when the colonel is either away, ill or disabled. All in all he is a wonderful doctor, humanitarian and true friend.

There are multiple other secondary characters that you cannot help loving and crying for them when they finally end up leaving the show. As the series was such a huge success it ran for 11 seasons - 1 season longer than FRIENDS! - there were a lot of characters running around but a few are stable and stuck to my heart. One of them is Major Sidney Freedman, the psychiatrist. Also Radar, Corporal Walter Eugene O Reilly, who used to sleep with his very own teddy bear. Or Klinger, the looniest of them all, with his Scarlett O Hara dresses ;)) Not to mention Major Charles Winchester the 3rd... with his love for classical music :) Or Major "Hot Lips" Houlihan with her very serious demeanour but very warm and kind heart.

M.A.S.H. Team now :)

The TV series is lovely and worth watching, especially now when they digitally remastered it ;) Even though along the way you loose/gain some characters the show keeps you on your toes. The series gets darker and darker as you go on, but nonetheless it is warm and makes you think of life and how people hurt and feel and wish for companionship, no matter where they are. I may be subjective, as I grew up with these series, but I would still give it a 10 out of 10! I just rewatched it with my husband, fully and with tissues next to us... just in case ;) and guess what?! I still think it is brilliant!

Here is a bit of trivia:

The song at the beginning of the show is an instrumental of “Suicide is Painless”, which is the theme song from the movie.
As of November 2011, the M.A.S.H. series finale is still is still the most watched broadcast in U.S. television history. The day that the show was aired, the New York City public works made note of the fact that the highest water usage in the city’s history was on that day. The reason for this was because in the 3 minutes after the finale ended, approximately 77% of New York City flushed their toilets.
The series lasted for eleven years, but the Korean War only lasted for three.
Mike Farrell was the one who asked that his character’s daughter’s name be Erin, after his own daughter.
Alan Alda and Jamie Farr were the only cast members to actually serve in Korea. Both did their tours after the 1953 cease fire.
Gary Burghoff’s (Radar) left hand is deformed and he went to great lengths to hide that during filming. Usually by holding something in his hand.
Klinger was only supposed to be in one episode, but he was so popular that they wrote him into the cast.
On Sesame Street, Big Bird’s teddy bear is named Radar. And yet, the name of his teddy bear on MASH is never known.
Alan Alda is the only actor who appeared in every episode.
Dr. Michael DeBakey, the physician who is given credit for being the most responsible for creating MASH units for the U.S. Army, died on July 2008. In only 2 months, he would have been 100 years old.
Harry Morgan stated in an interview that he wanted to play Colonel Potter forever.
The decision to end MASH was made by a vote of the cast’s members. The ones who voted for it to stay on were featured in the spin-off show, After Mash.

Not to mention that they even tried to have Radar for his own show named W.A.L.T.E.R :) Unfortunately that did not work out as well. But hey! when do ever sequels work better then originals? Remember how after FRIENDS they tried to do a series only with Joey? Well... everyone remembers FRIENDS but who remembers anything from the other series?! Anyway, do tell, have you ever watched M.A.S.H.? or am I the only one old enough to catch that on TV? :)

Magia Cafe Bar A Quiet Place To Hide

Dearest friends,

Today I am taking you into a magical journey into a coffee place/mini-restaurant right next to the lovely Mariacki church, in the Main Square of my beloved city Krakow. You cant miss it if you go from Florianska, take a left right next to the Saint Mary Church, like you would go to the Small Square and on Plac Mariacki 3 you will find the welcoming doors - and in the spring/summer/autumn you can even find places outside! - of the lovely Cafe Bar Magia :)

You can find them online both on their website and on their Facebook fan-page. Or you can just drop by their place and check out their cozy interior. The atmosphere is just magical, especially in the evening with the candles burning on each and every table. It is a wonderful place to warm up and have a rest, even though the service is not as prompt as one would want the place and the food makes it up for that in full! I recommend their tea (as they have quite a wide selection) and also the mulled wine with loads of spices and dried fruits. It is just heavenly!

Even if it is so close to the Main Market Square not many people bustle about it and there are many seats to choose from - be it indoor or outdoor. You can even have lunch there as they have sandwiches and pierogi and soups. If the soup of the day is the onion one, I recommend it wholeheartedly as it is one of the best things I ate in Krakow! It is not quite a soup, but more of a stew with loads of onions and vegetables and meat. Steamy hot it just warms you up perfectly when the nights are cold and you need something to make up for it ;)

The cakes are also quite good and they have creme brulee - but still the bets creme brulee I ate was at Charlotte. The sweets come with a price range between 6 zloty for cake with season fruits and 10 zloty for the cake with chocolate and sour cherries ;) The sandwiches are around 7-8 zloty each and the pierogi 10-11 zloty. It is definetely worth your time and you should totally check it out next time you are in the area ;) It is open daily from 8 am and it keeps its doors open till around 2 am. You can pay by card and if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of the huge kitten living in the museum upstairs :) If you do manage to get there, let me know of your thoughts upon the place :)

A Rainy Koln Carnival

Dear friends,

Here we are again at yet another lovely #TravelTuesday where I will share with you a bit more about our lovely trip to Koln/Cologne this year. We were lucky enough to schedule our trip so that we would catch the Koln Carnival so we could experience for the first time in our lifes one, and I am so glad we did!

These pictures were taken in the students area of the city, early in the morning! The city was already full with people dresses up and drinking beer. Yup! You are allowed to drink alcohool on the street no matter if it is Carnival day or not! In Poland you are not allowed to do so.

As you can see we had a lot of fun :)

And we got in touch with the Flower Power :)

We walked all over town as Dana wanted to show us how different people party around the city. And I must admit it was fun and a bit confusing hopping on and off buses and walking about :)

Managed to get even to the meeting place of the parade cars and trucks and whatever nots. We even got a chance to see the lovely horses of the city guard that was all over the place and remined me of the musketeers and of Alexandre Dumas :)

And let the parade begin :) Of course you may not know this but during the parade the people on the cars/trucks/horses and the ones walking in the parade throw candies/sweets and other items while parading about. They even throw flowers like orchids and spring-like flowers... tulips and daffodils and such :)

Oh, did I mention that it was raining quite hard most of the day and all time during the parade?!

We had a bit of fun at the pub - as you can see in the blurry pictures above. Sorry for the condition of the pcitures. We were taking continous pictures of the parade in the rain and the lens condensed and this was the best we could get in the given circumstances. The pub was packed and the entrance was 10 euro per person. You could not drop a needle inside that place, nor move. I think it took us at least 45 minutes to get in but the music was really nice and the athmosphere amazing - though I might have wished I had no coat, scarf, bag, camera with me so I can move freely and not worry about them laying around there... No tables, no chairs, just dozen upon dozen of people having fun :)

Here we are, the happy party people - picture taken by my lovely husband :) We had some fun in the club/pub... place :) and then we headed off by foot home. We had a short detour where the day started and we listened to this amazing band playing the drums inside a tower entrance where the acoustic was just amazing. In the middle of the night we were dancing in the street, rain coming down slowly and hundred of happy faces around...

When we managed to get home I figured out I should take out all the goodies we have gathered during the Carnival from my bag - thank God I always wear huge bags while travelling! :) I think we had at least 1 kilo if not more of candies/sweets, dozen of Ritter Sport mini chocolates (I just love those!), MARS mini bars, TWIX mini bars, HARIBO teddy bear minis and more more things you can see there :) Even some colorful pasta that we ate when we came to Krakow and was really really tasty! :) Now that is what I call a haul - all 3: me, Marek and Dana were proud of it ;)
