Drawing 2
Drawing More Advanced Figures
The next lesson that the book Basic Drawing by Louis Priscilla was also on perspective but drawing basic things. Louis Priscilla who is the author of this book says "with knowledge of a few simple squares put together becomes a group of buildings... if one is able to draw a tube in perspective it becomes simple to understand the foreshortening of arms and legs of the human figure" (7). So I decided to practice drawing more advanced figures by using squares. Below is my practice drawings.
Above I drew a car by following what Louis had to say. According to the author by placing one box over another and rounding the edges you have the basic perspective of a car (10)
Above I drew a train by placing a small box in front of a long box gives you a train in perspective.
So after reading this section of Louis Priscillas book i now understand more on ho objects like cars and things like trains can be made using squares in perspective. a question i have from this is that. Do you think that you can draw almost anything using squares or other shapes?
